Originally, all our models were self-propelled machines on tracks or wheel driven. Though these trenchers performed well (and many are still in use all over the world), self-propelled trenchers are relatively expensive machines and therefore only affordable for trenching contractors or when large trenching projects have to be undertaken.

During the past 20 years, prime movers like tractors, skidsteer loaders and excavators have become very sophisticated. They also have become very readily available anywhere in the world.

A.F.TRENCHERS Ltd. have therefore taken the logical step to develop trencher attachments to be used with tractors, skidsteer loaders and excavators, taking advantage of these available power sources to create sturdy, reliable trenchers at a fraction of the price and running costs of self-propelled machines.
