DIGGING CHAINS
63.5mm Heavy duty chain offering for trenches
of 125, 150 or 200mm wide. Being fully detachable, individual links are easily and economically replaced.
TRENCH SLITTING WHEEL
The totally enclosed, large diameter digging wheel is fitted with ten angled pockets, each one rigidly supporting a digging blade, which then only needs a spring pin to hold it firmly in place.
For hard conditions, double pointed tungsten carbide teeth can be fitted in some or all of the pockets.
For trenches of 40, 50, 60, 70 or 100 mm wide and up to 450mm deep.
DIGGING BLADES AND TEETH
Silicon manganese austempered spring steel with hard faced edges.
Optional tungsten carbide picking teeth are available for hard or abrasive conditions.
The pocket mounted digging blades of the sandslitting wheel are fully reversible, which doubles their working life and thus greatly reduces operating costs.
DIGGING BOOMS
Choice of three digging booms to dig from ground level down to maximum depths of 0.8, 1.0 or 1.2 metres.
TRANSMISSION
The digging chain and the slitting wheel are driven by the tractor PTO shaft through an adjustable torque limiting safety clutch and right angle gear box.
A secondary roller chain drive powers the slitting wheel.
SOIL CLEAR UP SYSTEM
Soil retaining plates guide the dirt onto a hydraulically driven cross-flow and elevating conveyer mounted across the front of the digging chain or the slitting wheel, leaving a clean surface.
The conveyor can be folded away when the trencher is transported.
DEPTH CONTROL
Hydraulically controled, using the tractor's hydraulic power system.
Controls range from manual by means of the tractor valve lever to automatic laser operated solenoids, depending on the specification.
TRACTOR REQUIREMENTS
Power: 20 to 45 hp (15 - 34 kW).
Three-point linkage: category 1 or 2. PTO shaft 540rpm.
A hydrostatic transmission or a creep speed gearbox with at least a 10:1 reduction is required. Front mounted balance weights are recommended (particularly on lighter tractors or if the soil clear up system is fitted).
A hydraulic supply of at least 10 litres/minute at 150 Bar is needed for the conveyor system.
Our policy is one of continuous improvement, and we reserve the right to
change specification of equipment without notice. Illustrations do not necessarily show
products to current specifications.
