Trenchers for Sportsturf drainage

Intensive sportsturf drainage usually requires the installation of main drain pipes 5 to 10 metres apart, carefully graded so that the water flows naturally to the collection points. A network of slits of 5 to 7cm wide is then made, filled with gravel and/or sand cut at distances from 50cm apart and crossing the deeper main drain pipes to ensure the rapid collection of the surface water.
The correct filling and compacting of these narrow sand slits is very important to guarantee the long life of the drainage scheme.
