Why choose the MH100?
Frequently Asked Questions
Can the MH100 go on any excavator?
The MH100 requires a 20-tonne excavator with direct and continuous hydraulic oil supply of 200-225 L/min at 300-350 bar.
Is the MH100 easy to maintain?
Yes, any competent excavator driver can easily maintain the MH100.
How long will the bullet chain last?
It is very difficult to estimate the duration of life in civil conditions, as they can vary greatly. What we can say is that we use a robust 100mm pitch welded chain with hardened steel plates and tough bullet holders and tungsten tipped bullet teeth.
How will the chain cope with stones?
The MH100 has been designed to cope with various ground conditions, and it can crush, grind through or pull out large stones (the size of footballs or slightly larger).
Do you have second-hand machines available
Yes, we sometimes do. Please contact us to find out.
What is the typical speed of trenching?
Typically 25 to 150 metres per hour depending on soil conditions.
What if my excavator is smaller than required or if I only have a tractor?
- You have a smaller excavator than required: Please get in touch with us.
- You have a tractor: We can recommend our AFT100 trencher with a agricultural chain or with a heavy duty bullet chain, which is ideal for hard soil conditions. More information can be found about the AFT100 on this page.
Where are your machines manufactured?
Our machines are manufactured at our factory in Sudbury, Suffolk, UK.
